Had the power amps in my car stereo replaced and these came out (were working when removed).
They are older units but seem okay.
Free to a good home (ideally Wellington pickup or I have to ship and they are heavy and possibly not worth it).

Are they worth anything to anybody or should I just ditch them?

I had the Alpine 3537 driving a pair of Alpine 6399's - only 100w/ch but those 6399's were beasts, they must have weighed about 5kg each.
Amazing in car audio for the mid eighties.

neb: Sorry, that headline "older Alpine car stereo amps - were working when pulled" is just screaming for a byline of "got them from a guy I met down the pub" :-).
The items have been taken.
FYI the units were in a car I purchased many years ago (and were in the car when I bought it) and were pulled by an installer when they installed a more modern head unit and amps. I couldn't bear to ditch them since they looked such high quality but before I did, I thought I would reach out here to see if anybody was interested. Turns out they were so that's a good turn for a fellow GZ'er and one less item to the electonic waste.

These are every bit as pure and grunty as anything newer. not sure why your installer wanted these replaced (perhaps they didnt know where to source the connectors). anyhows... i hope they have found a new loving home.
I had the 4/3/2 channel amp running a pair of 100W RMS alpine 6x9's mounted on a solid metal back tray. people thought I had subs....the amp packed so much power and harmonic definiton.
Ahh the good ol days of car audio seem to have gone...or i might have just got older....
Edit: the secret to a kick as system is to run a eight gauge wire the amp for power and another for ground.

Possibly also due to newer car units being so fully integrated into the workings of the car that it's nearly impossible to replace the stock system these days. Not just because of the components, but also the console shapes are so unique from car to car these days it'd be difficult to mount anything new.
Head unit doesn't worry me these days with CarPlay and Android Auto being the standard experience. But I'd like better speakers and lows in my Kona.

agree. Im trying to convince myself on a likley story to upgrade my already aftermarket jvc headunit to a carplay type...problem is the $500 that I then have to sell idea of to the mrs.....

Sure, it was obvious from the discussion, it just seemed like too good a headline to let go :-).
