Have just been to retrieve one of these from the e-waste box:

It worked last time I checked, but les batteries sont mortes. A replacement pair are probably worth more than the remote so cannot 100% confirm it is working. And there is a small chance I've found the wrong receiver for it (though it does look like the picture online in the "manual").

Upcycling to someone that will use it is better than sending it to e-waste/leaving it lying around gathering dust. I'm happy to post. If you find something local, great. Otherwise let me know and I will do my bit to support the back alleyway store that doubles as our national postal carrier these days.
