I snagged a Sony home theatre on trade me for $50. However the audio is all wacky because it’s not calibrated.

When new it came with a microphone you plug into the unit, then played a series of tones which would sort out the levels for you.

Does anyone have one of these lying around they don’t need, or would let me borrow.

Based on Auckland.

I’ve had a rummage around at nearly midnight, heh, and have found my one. More than happy to lend. I’m in Titirangi but work across Auckland at various times. Pm me your number.

Cheers,
Joseph

I would say that any receiver mic that fits the input would do.

Ive got one...but too far away from you.

They are basically a pcb surface mount condenser mic with a really long cable to a 3.5mm jack. Ideally you should use a mic stand and place that at average ear level in the listening position you want.

@josephhinvest has sorted me out.

In lieu of a mic stand I’ll just stack some stuff up to get it to the right height
