After buying a couple of additional Sony wireless models for the kids (when on big discount at NL and JB, IIRC), the last one I bought was a cheap-as wired controller (I think it was from 1day); now I wonder why I just didn't do that for the third controller as well, as it's very rare they use three and not that common they're even using two at the same time...
