Hi all,
Looking for a decent psu 650w plus to run the VGA

Was looking at getting the corsair rm 850 but thought I'd check here first.

Thanks

I've got an older hx750 Silver rated semi modular unit in a box. Swapped to an SFX unit a couple of years ago.

Stick to the popular brands, and you'll be fine unless youre a stickler for the fine details :)

I'm running on a Cooler Master V550 at the moment, but have used Silverstone, Corsair and Thermaltake in past with no issues.

Thanks for the info :)

I got a 1080 ti and my current 600w psu (Vantec 600W ION2+) only has 1x 8 pin + 1x 6pin pci-e. Thought about getting an adapter but then why not upgrade the psu to something more suitable than sticking with the minimum 600w.

Will keep an eye on the auctions also

JohnnyGuru was arguably the best PSU review site on the net until last year. Sadly lead writer Jeremy Schrag (Oklahoma Wolf) retired in November 2018.

His write ups were both highly entertaining and informative.
