Looking at buying a new Ubiquiti UDM but still coming to terms with the price.
Before jumping in was wondering if anyone had an old USG-4 or USG-3 they were upgrading and wanted to sell?

Primarily looking for the USG-4 but at this stage would also take a USG-3 if someone had one.

Based in Auckland,

Thanks

I have a USG-3 I'm replacing with pfSense so I can prepare for multi-gigabit WAN. I'm in Palmerston North but I'm pretty sure I have the box etc and will be happy to ship it. How much would you like to spend including shipping?

I could possibly part with a USG4 for the right price what were you thinking?

@k262626 Would you take $300 for the USG-4?

@SEEN how about $180 for USG-3?

I can do $180, I'll just have to try get pfSense all set up tomorrow so I can actually sell the USG-3

Cool thanks.

I'll just give k262626 a chance to reply about the USG-4 first as that was my initial preference.

Hey pistol - just curious what made you change to a USG over the UDM Pro? I was in the same boat - wanting a UDM Pro, then prices went up, Covid hit, and they are still not here.  I have looked at getting a USG-4 as they still seem a capable product, but are they going to be updated moving forward?

Pretty much this.

Probably not. However I need something now and it will last long enough to see what happens going forwards.
In all honestly I expect this will probably be my last Ubiquiti purchase.

That's a sad statement, but also similar to how I feel about Ubiquiti - I have just sold my UAP-Pro and have my UAP listed for sale on Geekzone. To upgrade to 2 new AC access points + the UDM Pro + cameras is just too much $$$$ and there are other devices that offer better options (I have Dahua camera's for example).

I was debating if I should get a USG4 though as they are cheap-ish and a well known quantity, hence the questions, but I think I will stay with my Untangle server.

Sorry to take the thread a bit OT.
