According to the SO I can't keep hording old hardware anymore so I have to find new homes for it, otherwise it's bound for the tip, open to offers, you cover postage.

Can I please take a Cpu/Mobo/Ram combo to put together something for my Mum? Intel motherboard + 4 sticks of DDR3 + i5-4570 + cooler?

Best I can do with the above is to pair the Intel motherboard with the i5-2400, 4 x 2GB (8GB)

The i5-4570 is only compatible with 8 or 9 series motherboards, the 2 I have are only series 6.

Ahh fair enough. How much do you want for it with the 2400? I'm happy to pay freight.

Would the 4570 upgrade a board currently with a i3-4130? H81M-S2PH. If so I'll take that too.
