1.8M or 2.4m Satellite dish (size to be confirmed). Does not include the ground pole in photos. Can include C-band LNB, BUC and transmit/receiver unit. Should work on K-band fine assuming you used the correct K-band LNB etc. This size great if you are in a fringe area and having problems with rain fade.

I will be collecting this from Kaitaia in a couple weeks time and can help with delivery anywhere between Kaitaia and Tauranga, otherwise collection will be from Tauranga. Free if you have a use for it, contribution to petrol for delivery. PM me if interested.

Looks like the dish is 2.6m diameter. If there is no interest from anyone here I will put it on Trademe tonight.

Just curious, what did you use such a big Satellite dish for?

I'm curious why, with fibre internet access available, why anyone would want a satellite dish!

jasonbug: C-band is lower frequency than K or Ku (K is mostly used for local TV Sat and the smaller dishes you see round town) hence requiring bigger dish. However this can also be used with K and getting a much larger signal catchment area. Also useful for lower power satellites or ones on the margin, meaning the beam spread only just reaches area of interest, for example Australia, but can be picked up here if you have the right equipment. Better bandwidth and less power if you are transmitting, this dish was used for data access so TX/RX.

rogercruse: You are assuming Fibre is "everywhere", there are still plenty of sites that will be a long way from Fibre, distance and time wise:-). However, I'm assuming someone is more likely to want this for reception only such as TV via satellite as two way data transmission is still very expensive.

Listed on Trademe now, https://www.trademe.co.nz/2850956675

Loved my IHUG Ultra satellite back in the day....  was even more fun when I was beta testing the VPN system for it - had 1MBps down and 128k up courtesy of ADSL ;)

Learned a lot about Satellite from all that, but now forgotten as haven't touched it since leaving IHUG.

Didn't need a dish that big though ;)

Mate, you could be playing with all again if you wanted, I have all the modem's etc that go with the dish and happy to include them. There is $1000's of gear just looking for a home.

I have an understanding with my wife, I cant get another satellite dish until she has $1,000,000.00 in her back account.

This is a steal for your buy now price and very tempted to try my luck.

Best of luck.

Full flashbacks to getting F1 coverage from Indonesia back in the day, and league from Australia.
Fun times.
