I am in the market for an ordinary HD TV like a Veon (my preference). Nothing fancy, just a simple panel with a decent display. 42 inch or close to that, TV tuner function not required, only HDMI for use as computer monitor, audio quality not important as I have external amp for that. Must be located in Hawke's Bay for pickup.

I have one of these in my parents garage I need to clear and have been wondering what the heck to do with it.
Can't find the stand though, so needs to be mounted on a desk or wall vesa mount.

Whanganui location though unfortunately.  Good luck.

If you are ever down this way, bring it along. I can always supply a stand.

No worries, I'll check it out when I'm over in Whanganui at the weekend and will let you know.

Do you need a remote for it also?  Will see if I can find that.

Where are you based?  I'm in Palmerston North and ironically was camping in Napier just last week!

Thanks, I shouldn't need a remote if it is the same model but probably better to have it than not. I only use it as a monitor though so once it is set up I don't need a remote at all as I can turn it on manually. If it is the same model it doesn't even need to work as long as the screen lights up ok, since I can always just swap the panels. I am using mine right now and the entire screen area is visible, just annoying with the dark bands from the failed edge lighting.

I am in rural Hastings, a short way off the State Highway if coming from the south, about 20 km from town. If it works grab it and I will figure a way to get it up here.

I have loads of old electronics if there is anything I can give you in return. A lot is just useful for spare parts but I also have some functioning legacy desktops and laptops and other things. Nothing of value, but maybe interesting to play with.

Yep I now have a 42” led Veon model VN4219LED model only sitting in my lounge in Palmerston North.
Confirmed working via side physical buttons. Nice picture.

May have family heading to Hawkes bay soon also.

How does $40 sound?

Sounds great. PM a number and I will transfer money. I am in no hurry for this, so happy to wait on your family if they can do it that way. Otherwise I will make some other arrangement.
