Something wrong with my front usb ports, they do not detect any device... back ports working fine.

so I did search on buying to front usb ports and could not find anything!!!... anyone know where I could buy these in auckland? or over internet posted to auckland.

If they are connected correctly and were working previously I would probably guess that the USB controller on the motherboard has somehow been damaged. If this is the case replacing the USB connector won't fix this.

In terms of new USB connectors you should be able to buy a 3.5" or 5 1/4" drive bay from any good computer store or somewhere like Jaycar. This just fits into the drive pay and typically has front audio + USB on it.

front USb ports are a case by case thing what fits one may not necessarily fit another as cited above you'd be better of lookin for a 3.5" cardreader/ usb bay which you may be able to find quite cheaply on trademe
