Before I wade into the cesspit that is Trademe, I was wondering if anyone has anything in the way of 6-core, 12-thread Xeon X5600 series CPUs (X5660, X5670, X5675, X5680, X5690, etc.) lying around that they'd like to offload for a reasonable price?

Yep - I'd seen those. Very tempting, but I'm not sure that the teen who wants to upgrade his gaming rig on the cheap will want to wait for 2 months or more for it to arrive 😅

I thought that on the off-chance, someone might have something sitting in a drawer...

How many are you after?

I have a pair of X5690s could sell for $70 each, or $130 for the two (plus postage from Wellington)

I also have a pair of X5680s (currently in use, but soon to be retired) - $50 each, or $90 for the two (plus postage from Wellington)

One X5690 would be great. Shipping to Whangarei. Could you PM me your details please?
