I wonder if anyone would be interested in a swap, AKL only happy to meet up.

Mobo came with 8GB X2 HyperX Fury RGB 3200mhz if you worry about memory compatiblity Im happy to swap the ram with something equivilant speed wise (dont care about RGB)

That Omen board is propriety so won't work in another system.

It's junk to anyone else as it has a locked bios and there is no upgrade path and I'm guessing that's why you're getting rid of it too?.

Im assuming you got the Omen with i7 10700KF? If so it has no discreet graphics onboard hence no video out.

I have put in my own ram, ssd and graphics card in and they all seem to work. To get the best out of the ram and cpu you need to use Omens software and Intel extreme running instead of utilizing bios. Don't know what you meant by no upgrade path but current gen Intel architecture is kinda a dead end anyways when you think about it.

The CPU is actually 10700k oddly enough.

A friend bought this yesterday for the 3080, CPU, RAM and PSU, at the same time he got another case, mobo and bigger AIO, you couldn't access the bios etc and doing the workarounds is tedious i.e XTU just to change the RAM timings, that stuff should be accessible via the bios, its a bad board if you want to upgrade and its widely known that the HP Omen is locked down and its the mobo holding it back, other components will work outside the mobo.

reason for wanting to swap the mobo and downgrade to a B560m?

It's inconvenient sure but you only need to do that once and uninstall xtu right after, I managed to stick my own 16gb ram in and run it at 3200mhz with cl15 no issue at all.

It's still a Z490 Mobo with solid build quality

I'm putting together a dev machine for visual studio and want to sell the 3080 (tried a few games and still prefer to stick with console gaming for now)

Basically needed something with displayport out for my ultra wide monitor. Don't need any fancy features from equivalent H570 or Z series
