Now that Windows 11 makes TPM 2.0 a requirement, does anyone have an HPE P31644-001 (or original 872159-001) HPE Trusted Platform Module 2.0 Gen10 Option available?

Does the bios not already have something? What motherboard do you have?

It is an HPE ML110 Gen 10 server and it does not have the TPM chip. I want to add it.

Yes, I saw that there but if there's a cheaper one here on Geekzone I'd go that way first.

You're running Windows on bare metal server?

Before you go jumping on a new machine, I would wait a few days. I have seen articles online about this and how the windows 11 documentation actually states 1.2 will be fine and v2 is a soft floor requirement, whatever that means

I gather it means you will be able to get away with it, but you will get warnings that it's not supported etc.

I am not looking for a new machine. Only for the TPM chip for this box. Also because I currently have Bitlocker but keys are on a USB and that is not ideal.

Now that Windows 11 makes TPM 2.0 a requirement,

It's an unreleased version of Windows, wait awhile and the specs will change. And then change again. And then change again. And then change...

That was an internal document that was released by accident, and applies to earlier builds of the OS. It's been removed from Microsoft's site and all the official documentation says that 2.0 is required.

I bought an Asus TPM Module off Amazon in 2017 for about NZ$82 (included shipping).

My first ever AM radio network connection was with a 1MHz AM crystal(OA91) radio receiver.

Thanks. Yes, that's the part - the number corresponds to the parts list on the HPE site. Ordered now.

An update on this. Bought the part on the 27 June and got a FedEx tracking number - which usually means a quick delivery. After three weeks with no delivery I contacted the seller, who apologised saying the box was returned as "damaged" and they didn't have any more in stock. They offered me a refund - which I accepted. Suddenly they did have another part in stock and that was shipped last week. I see on FedEX tracking it's now in Wellington for delivery today or tomorrow so let's see how it goes and will post another update when I install on my box at home.
