Putting these up as they might be useful to someone in the current lockdown:

Logitech HD Webcam C270 (720p).  These are $84 at JB hifi.  Asking $45 including non RD postage.

Logitech Pro Webcam C910 (1080p, Carl Zeiss lens).  I couldn't find this new but it's almost the same as the c920 which is $189 at JB.  Asking $90 including non RD postage.

To anyone interested remember New Zealand is currently at COVID Level 4 Alert.

This means you cannot collect this item in person. Postshops are closed so there is very low chance this item will reach you before end of lockdown.

my local post shop is also my dairy, which is open and taking parcels, and post is an essential service, so buyer will prob get overnight delivery in same city.

stop scare mongering.

Personal collection is not an option and postshops are closed. Your local dairy maybe a postshop but not everyone's is.

We have a pile of pass the parcel courier bags. They'll deliver you a stash of bags for free, and you can book pickups online.

Trade me also does the courier pick up service although you have to find your own box.  The c910 is sold.  The c270 is still available.

While its very possible to send items in level 4 lock down, maybe you should be thinking if you should or not. As the package transport system(s) clog up again, those who might have a more urgent need for an arrival (like prescriptions for example) may have their items delayed too.

Not trying to hijack the thread, just offer a different option to those stated above.

IT gear to enable working from home, incl webcam's (based on the PBtech website) is now considered essentially. Unlike at the start of level 4 last time round. Assuming one has an need for the webcam this lock-down, I wouldn't have any concerns about shipping it.

Regarding courier workload, I imagine they are pretty lightly loaded in level 4, with distribution centers for most online shopping shut. It is at level 3 that they will get hammered.

Private sales aren't essential.

NZ Post themselves seem like they don't care if things are essential or not. Seems fine for parcels to be picked up and sent as normal.

And in any case, this should be about the sale in question, not about lockdowns and what we personally believe should be right or wrong. If anyone wants a refresher, Level 4 guidelines are available here: https://covid19.govt.nz/alert-levels-and-updates/alert-level-4/#services

It is definitey about giving people actual expectations. You are not the ones that get PMs from users when a sale doesn't go through or a delivery doesn't happen. Because I am then I reserve the right to give warnings.

Deal with it.

I am in no way involved in any part of this, so there's nothing to even deal with.

It wasn't aimed at you. Your message and the post above the forum is fine as it was the first one of any Offers/Sales forum in GZ. This can be run however way you want it as you're the admin. The ongoing "discussions" on the thread is what was unncesesary (which ironically I'm now partaking).

Let's not take things personally, and as the honcho says, be kind.

You dudes need to take your essential sales argument to someone else's webcam thread.  It's not rocket science after all as we have done all this before.

The C270 is still for sale and it's a nice and cheap little web cam if anyone needs one.

Yes. And now the whole "Offers and Wanted" sub-forum is locked until we drop down a level or two.

I am ready to do whatever is needed for the lockdown to work.
