I've got a laptop with an RTL8822BE (AC wave 1) in it that's driving me crazy.

I've just ordered a pair of AX201NGWs, one for a desktop, but realised after they shipped that they require a recent Intel chipset (CNVio interface), which won't work for me. These are available if anyone wants them, once they arrive, $20-ish. I'll refund if it turns out they don't work in your platform.

I'm hoping someone has a desktop motherboard that came with WiFi that I can grab the card out of for $15-30. E.g. 9260NGW, AX200NGW, AX201NGW. I'd probably be happy with non-Intel ones too. Or I can swap one in your laptop for something newer.

I'm in Wellington.

We've got some pretty dire Realtek RTL8852AE cards you can have for free if you like? I might also try swapping out the weird AX500 Qualcomm in this XPS, but haven't pulled it apart yet.

Sorry, I should have updated to mention that I'm semi-sorted - managed to borrow an AX200 out of family's mini-ITX build.

Yeah, from looking at my AMD laptop, the CNVI (Intel-only) card would physically fit in the slot even though it's keyed differently to the compatible cards. Grumble...

I do still have a pair of AX201 Intel-only WiFi 6 cards on order if anyone wants them.

I've also ordered a couple of AX210 6E cards, but who knows when a) Mouser will get them back in stock, and b) when RSM will allow use of 6GHz spectrum.
