I am selling my Polk Audio RM 6750 speaker set on Trade Me. Not used much, perfect condition.

This is the auction.

Yes, one of the problems with Trade Me. That guy/person used Buy Now on a vaccum cleaner auction I listed a couple of years ago.

He emailed me straight away asking if he could pay me in five installments. Then emailed me saying he had made the payment online, so I could send the goods. I waited. And waited. After five days no money showed up on account so I contact him. He then said it was problem with the bank website, but he was making the payment again.

Then I waited. He then said to me he couldn't make the deposit because one of his sales didn't come through.

I posted a back feedback on him, and of course he immediately posted a bad feedback on my account - even though I did nothing wrong nor was I the one lying during the whole transaction.

Of course Trade Me didn't want to remove the bad feedback saying that I had to resolve this with the buyer - even though it was clear what was going on.

You can see on this person's feedback page how many purchase transactions they failed to complete... That tells you all.

I was only pulling your leg but you are right about the trademe feedback system. I have about 600 positive feedback with 2 negative and 1 neutral, all in similar circumstances to yours.

For the amount of money they charge they should provide a resolution service and have the ability to change or remove feedback if innappropriate.

The funny thing is about a year ago my feedback was at about 480-490 or thereabouts. Someone asked a question on one of my auctions about the product and made a comment that they wanted to be sure because they were worried about my feedback!!

yes and in reverse Ive had a few not so great trades but havent placed any feedback as I know I would loose my (so-far) 100% feeback rating by someone retaliating and giving me negative feedback even though its no fault of my own.
