Interesting... what would you suggest as a better alternative and why? (I've personally used Trend in recent years but Norton before that, and am looking at changing in a few months).
I personally use Norton 360 and have for years. Actually back in MS DOs days, when you had to send a 3 1/2" floppy to get a replacement back with updated virus definitions - before Internet and all that.

dacraka: The option with auto renewal, does it renew at the discounted price or RRP price?
I don't know but I'd guess the RRP.

Personally I get a little tired of their spamming on the screen all the time - it alarms my mother and others who had an install. I recently cancelled my subscription - though they had already charged the $200 (when I started it was US$60 a year!) 60 days earlier than the date specified on the subscription renewal reminder I received. Thankfully they did acknowledge this and refunded me but not before going thru instant 60% discounts to try and keep "a long time customer"
Just got over all the popups. Used to stand by it. I go with Malwarebytes now.

Funnily enough, Malwarebytes popped up on the same page.. is it what you use/recommend?
(Link not coming out right but)... click the link in OP and K7 is listed at US$16.

Yes, I recommend it - not invasive. Some might find it bloaty but it definitely isn't as bloaty as N360 and others. I believe my renewal is in the vicinity of $30 for 5 licenses
I noticed on the page:

Does anyone know if this is enforced?

I've used Norton for years, like @freitasm, since the floppy disc. Every now and then I try something else, but normally end up back with Norton. Here's what I've found.
MartinGZ:
Yes the spaming is a pain - they need to stop it. There is normally a button saying something like - don't show again. Don't get much these days because I hit that button.
As above, it's a single switch "Show me offers". Turn that off, done.
It doesn't seem to use more resources than any other solution.
In my opinion, the hate is unwarranted.

I've found turning that setting off doesn't stop the spamming. Norton, Trend, AVG, Avast, McAfee - IMO are all far too annoying, heavy and invasive.
I like Eset...but good old Defender is not all bad these days either for a free option.
So, as mentioned, you can cancel auto renewal at any time ?
No problems applying US stuff here in NZ ?
You can use at any time - I think my existing annual thingy expires early next year.
