Hey legends,

I'm fixing a Pioneer amp with UA22 error, and need to reflash a Winbond W25Q16CV flash chip as the last stage of an epic fix. Does anyone in Auckland have a programmer like a CH341A which I could borrow or buy?

Datasheet: https://www.winbond.com/resource-files/da00-w25q16cvf1.pdf

Cheers

Chris

I have an XGecu TL866II Plus, which will apparently support that chip (compat list here: www.autoelectric.cn/MiniPro/TL866II_List.txt)

You're welcome to borrow it, I'm in Hillcrest, North Shore. Send me a DM if you want.

Its worth investing in a half decent SPI Programmer, I have a Flashcat which is really nice and works well. It comes from embeddedcomputers.net. All sorts of interesting Data can be found on these chips inside various devices.

Totally, they seem very useful. The XGecu one I borrowed from mkissin was supper easy to use and it worked a treat. Amp now fixed :-)
