Just wondering what the market price is for this TV? Obviously still one of the best you can buy, but there is nothing similar for sale 2nd hand wise. Was purchased in January so still comfortably under warranty, no issues with it at all.

Thinking of dropping down to the 42" C2 for gaming, but wanted to know what the potential sale price was for this?

Definitely could be interested, but your price would need to be sharp in this market.

The 48" C1's got clearanced recently and were going as low as $1947 new in July. Before that they were often bundled with cash back offers to keep the price trackers inflated while C2s were introduced.

I too have been considering the C2's (because the OLED landscape is evolving super fast) but I've been hesitant to justify the investment. So I'd consider buying used/second hand for the right price.

Couple of key questions:

  • What did you primarily use the panel for? TV, Gaming or PC?
  • Can you check how many hours the panel has done? It is in the service menu under UTT.
  • Did you have it VESA mounted or did you use it with the stand?
  • Lastly, and I guess most importantly: where are you based? :D

Used for gaming, stand mounted, based in Christchurch.

I'll be straight up honest, won't be selling for a sharp price, will be selling for a fair one.

I would only expect you to be honest. You’re asking a forum for an appraisal, your baseline needs to be situated around the last known retail, take into consideration rarity (e.g. did the new model reduce/remove well liked features that users want) and your particular items usage.

It is a requirement to put prices on items listed here, so given:
- the unit is 8 months old (with a very strict 12 month warranty)
- you’re based in Christchurch which means pickup is likely required (since large format TVs are not carried by general courier services and would be $100+ to ship to the North Island)
- number of hours clocked is unknown
- last known retail price was $1947 incl gst in July

You should look to set your expectations in the $1500-1650 range depending on how many hours you’ve clocked up on the panel. Less hours and non pc or static image use will result in a better asking price.

If that isn’t a fair price to you, you’re better off keeping it (which if I were you, I would wait until it is out of warranty - to get max value for your money) or try selling it on Trade Me / Facebook Marketplace with a less technical audience.

Sorry for the delay in hours, completely forgot. 1500 hours, all gaming. There is no burn in issue with the panel (don't even think that's really an issue these days anyway)
