I need 30 of these as I need to temporarily put the 30 leads through an existing hole in a wall and the regular "fat" cables will not fit 30.

We already use lots of the Dynamix Slim ones, but they don't appear to have them in lengths greater then 3m, and they aren't long enough, (and no I can't make the hole bigger....) and I'm really not keen on 30 RJ45 joiners.

Any ideas/suggestions (serious ones please, although I'm up for a laugh....)

Ta.

Hi, put a switch on the other side of the wall and just one uplink through the hole, or if you are up for it a couple of uplinks and setup a LAG.

there's the problem... it's the switch that needs to move, with the structured cabling the bit that's not moving anytime soon.....

The slim cables generally aren't too good on longer lengths. They can even be questionable on short links sometimes... have you checked the UniFi patch leads? They come up to 8m and are pretty damn slim, also they say they will pass on a CAT6 Fluke tester.

Sorry, what was the problem with putting a (second?) switch on the other side of the wall with uplink (CAT-whatever, or even better, fibre) between them? Do you need to move the existing switch because you can no longer have a switch where it is, or because it's needed on the other side?

EDIT: missed the word "temporarily" :D

At some point you might find you cant fit the big fat plug end through the hole on account of all the cables there already?????

Ah... take a reciprocating saw and enlarge the hole?!

Also you can use 30cm thin cables and put patch panels on each side of the wall.

As stated above just get a second switch and feed 10Gbit fibre through the hole if you need the throughput. Switches are cheap when bought used.

If you can do with 100Mbit per cable you can double the number of feeds.
