I have an eprom programmer that only works with Windows (I am on a Mac)

I have tested this with the VMWare and a windows 7 install and it works fine.

Now I am after a genuine Win7 install/product code/activation code

Anyone have one they can sell/ throw my way ?

Cheers

Is OEM (HP) OK or do you need retail?

No idea. I am a Mac user, we live with only one version and its free.

I am guessing that the only real difference will be drivers.

Its more if the registration code works I guess.

I am Windows ignorant, I am wanting to archive ROMS from my old computer collection for back up purposes so I can get to rebuilding them

Bit of a sideways answer but depending on how often you need to do this and how much mucking around you want to avoid, you can get pretty universal USB EPROM programmers from any number of Aliexpress crapvendors for around the $100 mark.

"Universal" does not mean Mac compatible, I would still need a VM + Windows

I hate Win10, can live with Win7 and win 7 is less of a resource hog on a VM

There's an actively maintained Linux/BSD/Unix version of the software for it that works on MacOS.

Hmmm interesting.

However I now have Win7 up and running in a VM and my current programmer works a treat.
