We've got a very old HP LaserJet 4000 Series printer whose JetDirect card has just died.

Despite it's age, the printer still works fine and we have spare toners for it so would like to keep using it.

Would anyone have either an old JetDirect card, or an old network print server with a parallel port (and parallel cable) they could part with?

Thanks

I may have a network print server lying around. Less certain about a parallel cable. I'll have a hunt and get back to you.

You can always get a cheap USB to parallel cable and use a more modern print server. Just check it is a print server and not a USB over network device that they seem to all be now so that scanners will work too.

@allan have managed to get hold of an old print server with parallel cable this morning, so thanks for the offer but no need to hunt yours out now.

Probably just as well - having trouble finding the one I'm sure I have "somewhere"
