Right, I've had 3 people not turn up from Facebook marketplace trying to give away a free ceramic cooktop. So before I just box it up and store it under the house indefinitely I thought I'd offer it up here for free if anyone needs to replace their cooktop.

Perfect working order, only replaced because I get good staff discounts through work so we upgraded to an induction unit.

May be best to list where you're based :)

Yes, thank you.

West Auckland, but could also be collected from East Tamaki during work hours.

Hi.  Does this have a standard 10a power plug, or one of the 15a plugs with the giant-sized earth pin?  Or if designed to be hard wired does it need a 10a or 15a supply?

If 10a, I'd love it please and will collect this weekend.  I'm west Auckland based as well.

It’s hard wired, but I’ll have to check it when I get home to see if it’s 10A or 15A. Will get back to you tomorrow. Also, I’ll be away at the weekend but if it’s suitable I’ll hold onto it for you until I get back.

Hmmm... unfortunately it looks like the answer is no.  The following spec sheet for a similar model indicates it uses up to 26 amps!  We have a gas cooktop with igniters that require mains power.  While we have a plug under the cooktop it's definitely not rated for 26 amps.

Can I suggest TradeMe $1 reserve if you have no takers here?  The feedback system eliminates most time-wasters.  If you really can't be bothered, my kids are saving for a holiday and I can collect and give to them to list as a fundraiser.

Its looks like a slightly different model than that one but may also be 26A. I'm happy to donate it to the kids fundraiser if you still want to collect it.

Thank you very much, @Senecio.

My partner loves the idea of going back to an electric cooktop that we're going to get a sparky out to run and cable and wire this one up.

You’re very welcome. You’ll have to throw something in the kids holiday savings now.
