Hi team,

As per title, I've taken possession of a lovely early 2000s HP Pavilion that i am wanting to give a bit more welly to, so I am hoping someone has kicking around in their spares:

  • 128mb OR 256mb PC133 168 pin SDRAM sticks
  • PCI (non-e!) OR AGP video cards (32mb and above) from 2000-2005

Thanks!

Ooo. This could be a chance to lose some ram out of the ram collection.

Let me check.....

I have multiple sticks of 256 / 133 MHz.

Where are you? Ahh Palmy.

No unfortunately; just to make it a challenge for me, they only have 3 pci slots

What model card is it? I could still be interested as I seem to be amassing a collection of the time period...

Good question.... it was one of the early Nvidia Geforce MX series...  I'll dig around and see if I can find it. (Middle of packing for move)

It wouldn't be a PC from the 2000s without at least having a shareware copy of DooM running haha

And just ignore the monitor's off geometry...

You're going to put gumboots on it?  Or hang a sign on it saying "Absolutely Positively HP"?  Or dump some soil from Lambton Quay on it?

Or a fridge.  Or an electric toothbrush.  Or a parking meter.  Or a voting machine.  Or a vape pen.  Or a barcode scanner.  Or an IKEA lamp.  Or an LED torch.  Or a small cat.  Or a cabbage tree.

Same here! And for sure!

It was a chance buy off of TM as non-running but a CMOS battery and RAM slot swap, and it is as good as 2001!

The previous owner even still had their old files on it, so it was a real trip to another time haha
