DIN-rail mount units (but can also be mounted on almost anything via screw tabs), used to get a modbus link through some walls that would have been impossible to get past otherwise.  8-24VDC powered, pre-paired so you just set the baud rate and connect the modbus wires.  $20 + shipping.
