I'm looking for a replacement controller, don't care if rotary or sliding switch temperature control.

Blanket end connection is -

I think standard for Sunbeam models.

needapart.co.nz seams to sell them.

but first check what model blanket it is and also get it safety inspected. no point getting a controller if the blanket is not safe.

Thanks @tweake, but not listed on needapart, and in any case $50 or more whereas an entire single from retailers start at $30 😁

Safety-wise, blanket is fine and works with other controller for test purposes.

Just thought someone may have a no longer used blanket stored away.

That's the problem with any future right to repair legislation the cost of spares and labour makes the cost of repair more expensive than a new item. Appliance repairs worked when we paid a lot more for the original item and there weren't such a diverse range of models. Cheap imports have killed the viability of repairs.

expensive small appliance havn't been around much for the last 30+ years. i used to repair them and first thing was to price a new one to see if it was worth even looking at.

I agree with @tweake about the cost of repairs, but OP I applaud your desire to see if someone has a spare lying around. There must be hundreds if not thousands of them lying around in houses around the country in perfectly good condition but destined for the dump anyway. And no, sorry, I don't have one.
