I'm not in the market, but seeing as you asked, a fairly good rough guideline is second hand items are worth 70% of new.

Had a quick hunt around and it's currently on sale new at several places for sub $1700 (1650 @ NotBadTech, 1670 at PhoneWarehouse).

Likewise, not in the market. Have decided I can't justify an upgrade from my S24 Ultra.

But an issue that Samsung phones may have when being resold, is that Samsung regularly steep discounts on it's various online stores.

As an example, last week they ran a promo on their educational store where the S25 Ultra Ti Black 256Gb was being sold at $1559.35. This could be stacked with a $100 trade in bonus, and Perhaps a 10% new user discount (didn't try the latter)

Then consider the discount for a used phone.
