Have a talk to your local Picture framer.
One of the places I worked for had quite a few signed shirts from sports people hanging on the wall in picture frames. Nice wooden frames with glass fronts.

Excuse ignorance / lack of imagination, whats an example of a 'shop fitting place' ?

We use these guys a bit - https://www.surplustraders.co.nz/ but there are plenty of them. Prices on things vary wildy with massive margins on things used in shops so it really pays to shop around.

What about a large-ish picture frame from somewhere like The Warehouse or Briscoes? Problem with these is that they may not be deep enough for you. However this one at TWL is 30mm so may be OK.

See more at TWL here.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Have you tried a search for sports frames? most are a more traditional frame style, but with a bit of added depth for a shirt - much more common than an acrylic box and the acrylic box will usually be a bit more expensive due to the materials.

Searching 'Sports Frames' and this is the 1st result, again about $5-600:

The two cases we've currently, as pictured above, appear to be this pretty much, not identical similar in size,  construction & features whatnot... from Australia which makes a bit of sense too... currently on special for AU250 + postage:

https://www.htfm.com.au/collections/display-cases/products/deluxe-acrylic-football-jersey-jumper-display-case-clear-back-finish-quality-3893

.... s'pose we could look into getting someone to cut acrylic, buy some fittings/fasteners etc..

Lol, nice one !

That is precisely where we were told our two cases came from, i.e. 'he got them from Temu for $20'

But scouring Temu for a decent period of time left us still looking

Bop hoo

Good Morning Harlan,

Thanks for your email.  Unfortunately this is not something we typically see in our store.

Kind regards
