Hey GZ,

Does anyone have one to sell, any of 87 or 96 or 140W will do, OEM + in good nick etc

Something like this guy, now a bit hit & miss - being undersized for the MBP it was powering made its life tough most likely

I may have one - a 96w. Will have a look.

It only has the power plug direct in to the charger - no extension cable.

Never used. (M1 MacBook runs off monitor power)

M.

common sense is not very common

I have gone for one of these  https://www.belkin.com/p/200w-4-port-usb-c-gan-charger/WCH015dqWH.html

Charges all my devices off one box

Thanks -the extra $70 for the Belkin gets another 100W which seems quite attractive (though likely mostly needless) but its also quite attractive having USB-A isn't it.

Now suffering one of life's problems, that of abundant 'choice'.

dimsim:

Verbatim do a 100w also

You've got to be careful with the wattage ratings on the multi-port adapters (it's unclear for a lot of adapters), for instance that Verbatim one per the PB Tech listing:

3 x USB-C PD 3.0 ports & 1 x USB-A QC 3.0 port
PD1/PD2 ports support up to 100W, and PD3 supports up to 65W, when used alone.
PD1 maintains a minimum 45W or maximum up to 65W, when being used with other ports and provides stable & fast charging for most notebooks & tablets.

So if you need it for a high power device, it looks like you can't use any of the other ports. The Belkin one is a bit clearer with 140W shared between two ports; 60W between the other two.

I got might through our reseller partners however

However all the retailers sell them

I now carry one charger in my backpack for everything

Even something like this would work I guess...

And you get a myriad f additional i/o to boot

Unsure if the brand is attractive ...

Correct in the case of the Belkin one its 200W maximum draw so you could charge 4x HP Laptops and at 45w draw or 1 MacBook pro at 140w and a couple of phones

The key is the COMBINED draw cannot exceed the rating of the charger

Just FWIW - grabbed a couple of these.. seem to do the job + have a semi-quality feel

EDIT: driving thing really was orm factor.. bricks quite svelte, uses a standard 8 power cable, actually fairly decent... does 90w + 18w USB-C total... and can give 10w to the 2 USB-A ports, something like that - Max is 108w but I don;t have a meter to check so what its really doing is unkown

I hope Harvey Norman aren't supplying it with that power cable.
