Hi anyone have a laptop with basic spec (but not slow) capabilities to run Word / assignment / Excel file ie uni level assignment

I am looking to give this to someone who is in need

Looking for less than $1k

If there is a suggestion to buy new for around this budget, let me know, please.

Thanks

AFAIK Unis are pretty much all M365 ... so they'll do most of the heavy lifting in the cloud when they are online, ... They can run local copies, but these days its unlikely to tax any reasonably modern Laptop..
