Ddr3 ecc unbuffered* yes is exactly what I need.

I think the thing I need to troubleshoot can take registered but would rather swap like for like.

I have found two 4GB stick of DDR3 ECC but they are PC3-12800U :(

I've got a couple of 2gig modules from old HPE Microservers you can have. Pickup from Auckland (Torbay or Greenlane) or I can post them at your cost.

Unfortunately I ended up trying again elsewhere and secured a few sticks.

However I will keep you in mind if this falls through and they end up not being delivered. This is attempt number 2.
