For my cell mapping hobby I'm looking for 2x used Android phones with:

• Full LTE bands for NZ (if sold new in NZ since 2020 or so this should be all good -- just needs Bands 1/3/7/8/28/40)
• Qualcomm chipset (as I am keen to try using Network Signal Guru app)
• Easy to root (or even better if already rooted)
• Android version >= 14

I'm thinking Pixels would be a good fit. OnePlus is another brand I understand is good for rooting. I would also consider Samsung as one of the phones I currently use is that brand.

Not interested in purchasing high prices new phones as I now use a iPhone a daily driver. I just need a "MVP" that can run cell mapping apps like NetMonster (and possibly Network Signal Guru).

Should have fully working cellular radios, fully working touch display and a fully working USB-C port.

I won't be using the calling functions so if the speaker, mic, camera, etc is broken all good as long as everything above is in good shape.
