Hi,

If anyone has a DL360 G3 spare parts I would gladly take it off your hands. I will even pay if it is worth it.

Kind regards,
Samuel

It was actually really funny... my server was going fine... then suddenly it shut down.... then it was going fine... then it shut down... power management was shutting down the machine because out of the 6 CPU fans (3 back to back), one had failed.

ONE!!

Now I took it out and I tried to fix it. By fix, I mean I hit it with a hammer and smashed it. So obviously that doesn't work any more (I was actually trying to replace the bearing but to do that I had to disassemble it). Now I had to set up a new server using a MacMini to keep my backups working. It is actually quite power efficient.. so it isn't so bad... but it would be nice to restore the server - it works fine except for the fan problem...

MacMini G4 + USB drives != Duel CPU DL360 + eSATA

Anyway, even ONE fan would be helpful.. the problem is it just has to be the right kind :(

I will see what i can do for you dude, i will have a hunt around and see what i can dig up. Interesting that it won't start for you, the fans should be redudant? Or maybe the redundancy only comes with the redudant fan kit.

Redundancy comes in the form of more money for spare parts :(
