i installed windows 7 on my laptop to find it has destroyed everything.
finally after 3-4 months of hard work i have finally got it going on windows 7.
sadly my copy is no longer genuine even though i installed from a CD. i sold my windows 7 cd and reset the activation code so the buyer wasnt being ripped off.
now im looking to buy an activation code, seeing as my desktop now says
-this copy of windows is not genuine-
im looking to buy an activation code for windows 7 home premium upgrade 64bit
thanks.
hope i can do it without a re-install  =]

i really hope you did not activate it, coz the buyer will now have an illegal - by the way - DVD.

you must have known that a clean install does a clean install from the other forum? you can buy what you want from a shop - i doubt anyone here is selling windows 7 keys - but you never know!

Phone Microsoft and ask them for one, or do as joker97 suggests and buy one from a shop. Your signature would imply you're not short of money.

BTW It's also not the sort of post that should be on GZ.

I have 2 laptops and a pc running on windows 7 rc. i figured getting the free version which doesnt expire until late next year was fine. Everyone in the house goes hard on everything and havent had any problems yet.

How did it destroy everything on the laptop?

If this is the case you were using it illegally. You have a license to use that key. If you transfer the key to someone else, then it automatically doesn't apply to you anymore. It means if you use that key or installation then it's a pirate copy.

Here you can "buy" a key:

Windows 7 Premium or other options.
