Hi I want to trade for an iPhone, I dont care what generation it is, so long as its unlocked and works like it should, the screen has no dead pixels, and I'll be OK with minor scratches, but not one looking like someone went at it with a pack of sand paper because the stuff I'm giving is nearly all mint condition and 8GB+ would be best.

The HTC Magic would have to be about the same also, a media card would be nice but I'm not saying it has to be 8GB because I know those can be expensive.

I'll trade:

iMac G4 1Ghz 768MB ram and 120GB HD 15" display and I'll be getting a copy of leopard in a couple of days which I'll load on there too. Apple Mighty mouse and Apple pro speakers which are in mint condition.

iPod Touch 3G 8GB hardly used and had a screen protector on since out of box, never even touched the screen. Same goes with a case, touched it like, twice but had a case on ever since.

2G or First Generation iPhones I'll only trade one either of those for (ie. you choose if you want the iMac or the iPod), because they only sell for like $250 in the US.

and $40 cash for the iPhone if its in mint condition.

Thanks and sorry if I sound a bit picky but I don't want to get ripped off and I know you're getting a good deal out of this.

Sam

c71931f: Look on trademe =]

I have 2billion times. All of them think that an iPhone with a smashed screen that wont

turn on is worth 300bux. Too over priced and aren't up for trades most of time. I ask

in the questions section a lot though. :(

I though I'd try a trade first, because then I have to sell the iMac and that first, wasting a whole lot of time.

I'm going to list the iMac up this weekend I think, after I call some second hand shops about an instant sale. How much do you think it'd be worth?

Nah the douche cancelled the trade at the last second because he "didn't need another computer after all"...

So I said a few nasty's and some other guy text me asking me to buy his iphone 3gs 16GB for $1220. it was fun typing a reply to that. But yeh, I sold my iMac instead for $280 and will prob get the Nokia E63 this weekend on easter specials or something

Not to be judgemental, but those two items (plus $40 cash) probably aren't going to cover the cost of a second-hand iPhone 3G.

Take a look at the iPhone 3G auctions which finish soon on Trademe. I've been watching the prices for them. They're selling $100 under retail, at most. Since the 3G 8GB iPhone sells for $979 on Vodafone, you might want to consider offering more cash with the trade. You'll probably get more interest. Either that or just bite the bullet and sell the two items separately.

I'm considering that now. Thats why iPhone owners piss me off. They think its worth just as much as the brand new ones. And theres one I saw on there that doesn't even turn on, yet they want 300 for it.

I can see where you're coming from mate, but the market's a bit like that. People are paying crazy money for broken iphones. Partly because of the brand, but also, they can be fixed fairly cheaply sometimes, it's just that most people don't realise this.

Yeh I ended up buying a laptop instead. hahaha. $450, so I'll sell my desktop when I get it and buy a phone another time. :P. Thanks for your help anyways. Happy Easter
