I have dozens of these, to save me sending them to the tip I will send them to you - all you pay is courier/delivery fee - if you want to pickup then they are yours for the picking up (Wanganui roadtrip anyone?). Delivery within the central North Island can be arranged in the next week or two if you want a bulk lot.

17" Black Dell Flat CRT Monitor http://bit.ly/9QbgEf

19" Black Dell Flat CRT Monitor http://bit.ly/ckfxy9

*Free as in you pay nothing for the monitor just to have it delivered.

Fail on my behalf, for some reason I read LCD (wishful thinking maybe??) and wondered why there wasn't a huge demand for them. Now that I have read it closer I can see why :)

I don't have a use for them sorry, maybe a school would benefit from them?

dman: that is a sad reflection on our schools that none of them have use of 19" CRT monitors?

No, just do another sausage sizzle to get more money out of the parents.  Or a prize draw.  Or a cultural food evening.  Or a ...  We've told our kid's school just give us an amount for the year and we'll give all the money up-front, then deduct from it as we instruct.  We don't use cash, but every other week there is a dollar or two needed for something.  At least finally the school discovered there are households where both parents work so it is a bad idea to start the term one day late when there is no holiday programmes.

At work we were throwing away CRTs, but with the (artificial) credit crunch the company stopped buying LCDs and you can only get an old CRT.

If I needed another monitor I would take these CRTs, but already using a free 19" LCD...
