The screen has gone black on a friends laptop :(

Alternatively does anyone know where I could buy one in Wellington ? I can see some on TM, but they need it working ASAP, so being able to buy one in town tomorrow and fix it straight away could carry a price premium.

Cheers

I fixed mine by replacing capacitors on the inverter board, they dry up with use. Might also be a dry solder joint. Very little else that can go wrong on those boards. See if you can find an electronic engineer/technician/guy.
