Anyone have a Newton Messagepad that is surplus to requirements that you may be interested in finding a good home for?

These things were legendary! A decade before their time. Had some neat features that you still can't find I in the latest gadgets. Nope, don't have one sorry :)

IF you want one for a short period of time to review in your podcast then you might be lucky contacting Jama here on Geekzone. But he probably won't separate from his on a permanent basis...

Probably Jama will have his bodyguards to keep the eyes on the Newton to make sure it doesn't go astray :-)

I used to have Apple MP120 :-) It was heavy and bulky but it was before everyone else and the handwriting recognition was awesome, and love its copy and paste method.

Thanks...was after one as a personal device not for review but to own and love. Have been pointed to some hopeful sources of Newtons. Wonder why anyone would want to part with one if they actually had a working unit, but I guess they want to spread the love.

We're talking about a device that was way-way-way-ahead of its time and was rocking when it came out. I sold mine probably good 6-7 years ago as part of the big pile IT gadgets clearance..

When I got my iPod Touch 1st Gen, I had flashback of how great it was... and regretted I sold it many years ago.
