I really hate to do this but I feel I have been left with no choice. Positive feedback looks to be encouraged so negative feedback should be accepted just as well.

I bought the original laptop zar/Dave was selling and it went without a hitch (as I posted earlier in this thread I was very happy).

The second laptop however has been a completely different story. Via PM I told Dave I was willing to pay his asking price as long as the laptop was the same spec as the previous one. I was very particular about it needing to have a wireless card and a working battery.

He confirmed it was and sent me the tag code to confirm the details which I did on the Dell website.

Over the next week I was given the distinct impression I was being played off against someone else to see who could deposit the money fastest (or even pay cash to him). I said I wasnt playing any games, would pay his asking price, but would deposit the money via internet banking.

A week later he told me the other person backed out and it was mine if I still wanted it. I said yes so paid the money. I got a confirmation PM from him and was told it would be delivered in the next day or so.

A week later I still hadnt heard anything so PM'd him. He replied saying he would check out the track and trace details, but a couple of days later there was still nothing and he replied to another PM saying it had been returned as undeliverable. As my wife is home all day Im sceptical but was willing to accept it.

Anyway, Dave tells me he is in town and can meet tomorrow at the same time and location as last time. I reply immediately to say I cant make the exact time but am willing to meet him at any time, at any place, but I hear nothing from him.

I call and text his mobile, send PM's but get no reply so move heaven and earth on my prior commitments to be there. Of course he doesnt show.

We do finally get to meet a couple of days later and I take away what I think is the laptop Ive paid for. I get home, start reinstalling the OS to find there is no wireless, the harddrive is smaller than I was told and the battery is completely fried.

Its been more than a week since then and there has been no repsonse to my attempts to contact him. He has my money and I have a brick.

Dave if you read this, you know where I am. You have my details here and my phone number. Do the honest thing and call me to get this sorted out.

There are plenty of muppets on trademe willing to pull a fast one, but I dont expect it on a forum dedicated to helping people.
