For a HP Pavilion dv6000, but I believe that almost all 15.4" are interchangeable?

You'll need part numberLTN154X3-L01
to fit your model, some of the newer Acer, Samsung and HP models have them

However the Sony and Toshiba 15.4s are different, best to try Ebay I think, or find someone on Trademe breaking one apart

Thanks for the advice, but in my searching I now have a new question: Can you tell me the difference between a glossy and matte screen?

Cheers

Sure, glossy means it reflects, matte means it doesn't reflect

some LEDs/Plasma have a refective surface, whereas almost all LCDs have a matte screen

It won't matter if you don't take it outside too much, if you do, the matte screen will be better in sunlight
