I am in need of a couple of laptop harddrives

Would prefer WD or Seagate. Any size above 10 GB considered for the IDE. More than 40 GB preferred for SATA drive.
Maximum for both interfaces would be 250 or 320 GB - price dependent.

But will consider whatever is available.

Have a 60gb IDE laying about. 4200rpm I think. Interested? Can wipe it and check for errors if you're interested & want to make an offer.

It's a... Hitachi IC25N060ATMR04-0 60GB 4200rpm. Made by IBM.

  • 60 GB formatted capacity
  • UDMA/100
  • 4200 RPM spindle speed
  • 8 MB buffer
  • 12 ms average seek time
  • 7.1 ms average latency
  • 2.5-inch form factor
  • 9.5 mm drive height
Would $20 + shipping be fair? I'm not really sure of the value. You can offer what it's worth to you. It came out of my dead laptop but the drive is okay.

Cheers

martyyn I have a 800mb one too if he wishes to buy the 60gb. It's old and slow but I'll get rid of it for a few $ if it's any use to somebody else.
