No, seems like the TK102 (at least some versions) want lowercase...

Can it be hard reset to clear any glitches that may have developed thus far?

Hmm seems the original trackers were made by xexun. When i put the imei into their website it says it is not an xexun product.
I am thinking either:

1: It is a fake product which is faulty
2: Not suited for NZ networks
3: Fake product with different initialization commands

Ooh bummer. Any way to try for a refund from the seller?

I have one like that and have never got beyond the ringing it and giving it a missed call and getting the SMS back with the location.

I had another one which was a wire in one, I actually bothered to set that one up. On 2 degrees it would just lose data going between 2deg and vodafone. Call and sms still worked but data was dead till I gave it another text with the APN details and it then sprung back into life again.

Huge number of fakes of these, and many are non unique IEMI so it may just be a blacklisted one. check the IEMI on the stolen phone list to see if its in there.

I gues you mean this stolen phone list:

When I put the imei in it says the imei is invalid

Just tried to look up my tk102 and it says I am over my daily lookups for my IP address. If I use my VPN then it wont let me because of country. Hopeless.

I have one of these units. I haven't used it for  four years, but I think I had to send 123456begin rather than the other way round.
