I read that GPS doesnt work on imported phones (in this case, the Nokia N95). Is this true? I dont think it would be, as GPS is GPS isnt it?

Im not sure now, but it was on some BS Iphone vs N95 blog, and a guy ws going on about how the GPS is useless, and doesnt work well, and doesnt work at all if its an import. Some people really need to get their facts straight. Cheers for the quick answer

FYI, the N95 with A-GPS, I have picked up a signal inside, metres away from a window. Lock time typically 5-10 secs Cool

I have a N95 and an iPhone.

The N95 DEFINETLY has a GPS and yes it does work in NZ. You have to let the GPS lockon - this can take upto 3 minutes sometimes. Its better when the N95 can 'see' the satellite.

brownbox: BS Iphone vs N95 blog

Sigh.

Yes GPS works, on imported N95 handsets too (like mine). On A-GPS it locks fast, I usually lock in timeframes like Peejayw - and I have gotten locks indoors too (although they are slower).
