Hey guys,
ok so this is my situation....
i moved from the uk over here to nz and brought with me my tomtom (its the very first one, so quite an old version lol) anyways i want to get a nz map for it, but how do i do this??? before i came over i had a look on ebay and i found one for 50quid (125 dollars) but i thought id wait til i got here. well now im here i havent seen any nz maps. and... how do i do it even if i did? do i purchase the map i.e from a store, and if so will it b a physcial map on the card thing that slots in. or do i download it online? and if so, do i need to pay for it or is ther somewhere i can get it free, as i am super skint :-(
well as u can probably tell by now, i dont have a flippin clue what im on about really hahaha i am a blonde after all.
anyways, basically, i have the tomtom i just want the nz map (and as cheaply as poss) so  please someone help me.

You should be able to buy the NZ Maps online. Just jump on TomTom's website.. and access the online maps store. They appear to have a sale on maps currently as well which may help you price-wise.

hi tehre,
thats brilliant. ive had a look but am a lil confused. the sd card i have in it now, how do i know if the nz map will fit on it? how do i know how much room is left on it and how much the nz map will take up? if i dont have enough, how and where do i get another from, how much would it be? also do i need a tomtom account or anything or can i simply download it onto my comp and get going? please help.x

Install TomTom Home software on your PC (if you don't have it yet) and plug your unit. You will find some page where it tells you the status including memory.

Then from TomTom Home click on the menus to find how to purchase a map - it will tell you if fits or not.

hey thansk for all that, helps sooo much. do u know if tehre are diff types of sd cards and if so which one i need and where i can buy one from? Cheap as poss lol x
