So today my fritzbox crashed and restarted like it usually does for some odd reason .
Ever since it crashed my Snap VoIP has stopped working. There is no dial tone when I try to dial out and It still works for incoming calls but no voice is heard.
So I phoned snap support and asked them and they told me they need up upgrade to the .51 firmware to push out new settings, which I will not be doing because the .51 firmware is terrible for close lines.

So does anyone know I fix for this?
I did disable (PVC) in the past and I re-enabled today but that still hasn't fixed the problem.

Can you upgrade the firmware and have the settings pushed out then downgrade afterwards?

Nah because you have to reconfigure it after you downgrade or restore the settings I have now.

I tested on the Fritz App on android and call my home phone and that worked.

Hi Mikenbz,

The default Fritz firmware from AVM has some interesting aspects to the voice settings, so its quite highly recommended to have us bring your router into our auto-provisioning so that we can apply many of the fix's that are not user accessible (Digit Maps, dial tones etc) We may have a fix for the earlier firmware so will get our engineers to check out your current settings and see if these can also be applied to ensure you have a great voice experience and keep your good DSL sync, however we do have customers close to the exchange on the latest firmware with high sync, even some at 70/10

Thanks,
TheRalph

Okay dont worry about it because I forgot to do the simplest rule which was to do the power off the fritz for 5 mins then resync . I guess when my fritzbox crashed something within the firmware decided to not work anymore but a quick resync did the job.
