tchart: Orcon guys, just had an interesting 'bug'.

This was on a Galaxy S2 running 4.0.4.

My phone was in my bluetooth speaker dock playing music. The home phone rang as did Orcon Go. I didn't answer on my phone so I got the missed call Icon. However the real problem is that it muted my music during the incoming call and it wouldn't unmute no matter what I did. I turned bluetooth off and on, forced stopped my music app, undocked the phone. Only a reboot got my sound back.

Out of curiosity I tried the same thing and exact same thing happened so not a one off.

Very odd.

Sorry i missed this one, Ill pass it along to be looked into.
Having to restart is very far from ideal.

Thanks for the report.

Paul

If you check the power used by app, does Genius Go show up?
We have worked very hard to make it use as little power as possible but it will use more as you say with wifi on.
I tend to turn wifi off when i am not anywhere near an access point i know about.

sdav: How does one unlink their cell phone? I didn't realise it cost to have a second phone linked and we don't reeeealy get home calls.

Sorry for so many replies...

If you log into my orcon and select current plans you should see all the genius go apps registered with your account there. Click on the ne you dont want and select stop service, follow the prompts.
It will remove the link.

Regards

Paul

If I receive a home phone call on my mobile, would home phone line be disconnected?

I was outside at my home when my home phone rang. I picked it up on my mobile, but it was my wife's.  I yelled to my wife to receive land line phone, but she yelled at me that the phone was disconnected.  Is it expected?

Yes

Once you answer the phone on your mobile app, you won't be able to then pickup the land line and continue the call. your wife would have received dialtone on her end, even though you had the caller on your phone.

The only option is to ask the caller to ring back.

Or go inside and hand your wife your mobile :)

Maybe there needs to be a mod done so that you can  hit a "transfer" button , dial 0 and transfer back to the main fone..

There is a change coming so that is much clearer.

Sorry for any confusion.

I mostly don't want incoming home phone calls coming to my cell phone.  So I set "Receive home phone calls" to OFF in the app and have left it like that.  In spite of that I got two incoming calls (so far) ringing on both home phone and cell phone, others just ring on home phone, as expected.  Nothing special about those two calls that I could figure.  Not a big deal to me but does anybody want details (what details) if/when it happens next time?
