If you can't bother to read a thread, perhaps skip trying to police it. *yawn*

@jawnbc What is your problem?? You posted about an issue getting a Apple9 watch working on SparkNZ

Was chatting with my GP this week and Apple Watch 9 came up. He switched to Spark so he could use an LTE enabled watch, but it's never worked and neither Spark nor Apple will take ownership of the issue.

I wonder if 2degrees will launch their wearables esim alongside the Samsung 2024 unpacked this January 17th? In December, prior to purchasing an LTE Galaxy Watch 5, I was told by support over the blower they were indeed working on it..

And the wait continues for 2degrees eSim for Wearables.

I am just waiting for my Broadband to come out of term and then will look at all of my options for mobile and broadband.

It's a real shame that 2degrees have become technological laggers.

Linux: 2degrees stated first quarter 2024

Thanks. I don't see this stated anywhere on the 2degrees site, do you have a link. To be honest, 2degrees have made previous statements which never come to fruition, so I have little to no hope of them ever delivering. It will come down to timing and the options available to me.

This is the very reason I jumped ship to One NZ.

Agreed. A comment on this forum - that it will be available 'early 2024' - is not a commitment from 2degrees and given there is nothing official and they have not delivered on past commitments then the clock is ticking.

@SaskiaDonnell WOW not even a single comment very disappointing!

I suggest 2degrees customers vote by changing mobile provider here is all the information on the OneNZ site

https://one.nz/apple/watch/

Hey there, sorry for the delay in response and that I am unable to provide you with a more definitive update yet. We are working hard on our offering for all our customers and will have an update early in the new year.

So I should've read this earlier. I Pre-ordered the S24 Ultra with 2Deg, and guess what, they bundle the LTE watch with it. The phone arrived in time (no shipping emails though, very odd) then just yesterday the new watch arrives, so today, I walked into a 2Degrees store, to purchase and activate an eSIM for the watch THEY Supplied.... guy in store advises no such luck.

So straight away I now have to presume 2Degrees where being pretty Shit and inflating the value of the freebie by using the LTE version of the watch to suck people in with a product they don't even support.

I am fairly certain this is misleading at best...

Really 2Degrees, Please look into my account and let me know what I have to pay to break contract, I am fairly keen to take my 4 Sims plus non existent eSIM elsewhere.

Six weeks into the new year, and still not even an update let alone a product delivery...

Your website advises "At this stage, our eSIM doesn’t support wearables. We are working on the next phase which will include eSIMs for wearables. But this too is still being developed and will take some time before it rolls out." Today is 18months 2 days later, any updates or words of wisdom?

I gotta say it's a bit of an own goal for 2Degrees to bundle it with an LTE watch when they can't offer the service the watch requires.

Does 2degrees have an esim on prepay? It seems like they do but I wanted to check. If they do I'll port my number when I'm over in March.

Thanks. Do you know the process to move it to a new phone? Can I reuse the QR code if I get a new phone or are they requiring a visit in store?

@handle9 You can not reuse the QR code onto another handset

Sigh. New Zealand telcos are always so behind the rest of the world and a bit half arsed. It's a shame.
