rfdawn: I mostly don't want incoming home phone calls coming to my cell phone.  So I set "Receive home phone calls" to OFF in the app and have left it like that.  In spite of that I got two incoming calls (so far) ringing on both home phone and cell phone, others just ring on home phone, as expected.  Nothing special about those two calls that I could figure.  Not a big deal to me but does anybody want details (what details) if/when it happens next time?

Yeah if you can PM me your mobile number to start with and I will check it out.

Once its set to not take calls it should not change, if it is then its certainly a bug.

I don't know if this has been reported yet, but I was home yesterday and my home phone rang. By the time I fiddled around by unlocking my mobile and going to the Genius Go app (I wasn't near a landline phone at the time) I was too late to answer the call. So I called the person straight back using Genius Go connected to my wifi network. They could hear me but I could only hear them if I put them on speakerphone. This was on an iPhone 4 running iOS 6.1.3.

1) is there a way to get the app to allow you to answer a call from the lock screen? (I'm suspecting not otherwise it would have been written that way already.

2) Why could I only hear the caller when I had the phone set to speakerphone?

Sadly with this version of IOS we cant answer from the lock screen or unlock the phone. IOS7 may be different, havent looked into that yet.

one way audio is an odd one, we have had that issue with IOS before, it may be the same bug showing up again.
Can you please PM me the following:

Time of call
Number dialed from
Number dialed
Home number

We can take a look at the call detail.
If it is the same bug we are working on a resolution for it.

I have Orcon Genius Go which I leave switched off leaving people at home to deal with calls.
Today my cellphone beeped twice for missed calls. Checked at home and phone was in use at the time I received calls.
There are no messages on voice mail service at Orcon which makes me wonder if calls coming in when home phone is busy get switched out to cell phone instead of going to orcon voice mail
Any thoughst anyone?

Any chance of this app making use of Push technology? Or does it already? I know my phone gets pushed emails pretty much the instant they come in - this would help reduce the delay before your cellphone gets the incoming call notification.

You're not on Atlantis anymore, Duncan Idaho.

Can you please elaborate a bit?
Do you mean receiving calls on the App while using mobile data/wifi data?
Calls can be a little hit and miss on mobile data, it depends on so many factors.

As much detail as you can supply would be great.

Yes we use push notifications already.
It does mean that the app is not always registered, how each app responds to the push is different.
Android responds by doing a sip registration and standing up the call to be answered.
IOS only presents the notification, it cant register until the user takes some action.

If you think  you are having an issue with timing let us know. Its something we are very aware of making as good as possible.

Answering the calls on my cellphone using the genius wifi. I am being told by the other party that my voice is cutting out regularly during the call.

Hi, Sorry won't be available for testing - other than that the app works fine, just a pain having to enter my screen lock pin when a call comes in.

No problem.
Yeah I agree, we really wanted it to be able to open the app, its just not something apple allows.
