Wifi should be fine, do you have any other issues using wifi at home?

We may want to do some testing with you if that is ok. Can you please PM me your details and ill pass it to the voice guys tomorrow.

Paul

Hi, Sorry won't be available for testing - other than that the app works fine, just a pain having to enter my screen lock pin when a call comes in.

No problem.
Yeah I agree, we really wanted it to be able to open the app, its just not something apple allows.

Paul

FYI: Android.

:\

Android opens the app for me with a pin...
What phone and os version do you have?

I'm confused by your statement that android opens the app for you with a pin - you enter a pin to open the app??

I have OS version 4.1.2. Since I have an exchange account sync'd on my phone it requires a PIN to unlock, usually an incoming call bypasses this, but any further interaction requires entering the PIN.

An incoming call from the Genius Go app displays the call screen but when I hit the green button it pops up with my phone PIN request before I can answer the call.

android, ios and windows phone should have built in sip clients in their phone apps, wouldn't that just make life so much easier? and the orcon app could somehow integrate with that. maybe one day.

i couldn't even find a third party sip app on the windows store the other day! not that i need one i was just curious.

Answer the call without needing the pin.
I am running 4.2.1 and i can def answer without entering the pin.
I will check if its an android versions thing.

Paul

PS. What phone hardware are you using?

Many do have a built in sip client. How it works and how well it integrates with bespoke solutions though would be the issue.

My Galaxy Nexus for example can be configured for sip, it eats the battery alive though and doesnt use push notifications...

Motorola Razr i (XT890). I got it a wee bit wrong before - an incoming genius go call wakes the screen and requests a pin unlock before displaying the call screen. Either way I have to enter pin to answer call - would that be a permissions thing?

Is it a known issue that calls never go to voicemail if unanswered? Would have thought If I simply ignored a call the old voicemail box would still pick up but the call just eventually drops.

I'm calling home from work to have a play with this.

Correct it should go to voicemail. Will have to double check that, may be a timing issue in some cases.

Will have to find a RAZR to test with, it really should not require the pin.

More playing around from work here. When I call from work and answer using the app, the call drops - with our polycom phone at work saying call unsuccessful.

When my partner picked up at home using the genius handset the calls connected fine.

I've tried this in reverse, using the app to call myself at work it just drops without even ringing.

Calling another random contact worked fine.

I've not had this failure before - normally making and answering calls work fine from the app. It looks to be something specific to our work phone lines.

I disabled the divert to my cell phone option but some calls (but not all) still ring my cellphone (Galaxy S4).
If not answered they ring much longer than normal, so i assume that they are not going to voicemail.

There is a very minor one for android coming, it's not a bug release. That is still being worked on.
The IOS release is being tested at the moment and we hope to have it out very soon. This is to resolve the app crash reports we have had.

A feature release hasnt been set yet, but we are still collecting feature requests over here.

Happening with me, as well. Not sure about the longer rings but they shouldn't be ringing at all.

Android 2.3.3.

The new android release is live but lacking a changelog.

Any thoughts on voicemail still not working or being unable to dial or receive calls from certain numbers?
