I have tried reaching out to @SaskiaDonnell but have not had any updates and doesn't appear she has posted here for a while either. Hopefully somebody will be able to give us an update as the quarter is ending soon!

I have had news on this.
Current target window is May/June if no issues.

However we have been given dates before so take this with a pinch of salt

I hope not as if I recall correctly they use the AU finance year. Which is July to June.

I was in store today asking one of the 2D sales persons if they had been updated with anything about wearable plans, they had heard a mention of possibly June/July, but its all smoke and mirrors at the moment when it comes to getting any kind of useful info from 2D.

I just had a phone carrier update. Nothing new on watch however.

20 days left for their newest deadline.

@Observr Never trust what store staff say around upcoming launches they are saying anything to get rid of you! The true answer they should give is ' sorry no timeline given and we don't know ' The information on the 2degrees website was last updated in 2022

Simple move to another provider that offers the service you require

The "another provider" demands that you move your primary number to them to give you the privilege of eSIM for watch AND sign a 2 year contract. I have a problem with blackmails.

Not to mention that they dont have multi SIM data sharing...

I moved my wife to 2degrees because it was “coming soon”. I was waiting for my contract with Spark to finish then I was going to move too. Eighteen months later it’s still “coming soon”, wife is back with Spark and I stayed and signed up for a new phone and watch.

Even saying something about it, anything at all, might have convinced us to keep waiting but the silence from 2degrees caused us to give up.

I'm just glad I didn;t wait back when I was on the fence about it...moved to One NZ and haven't really looked back.

You would need to move the primary number as they are linked. The watch doesn't get it's own number. Not sure which provider you spoke to but I moved to One and don't have a contract term. Looking at their site now I don't believe any of their personal plans have fixed terms.

Thanks for the update and advise.

I suppose I'll wait it out until July, and if nothing changes make the switch.

Hard to compare apples with apples with all the different plans, and the 2D plan I am on fits me well apart from having no watch support, it's almost like the different providers want to be confusing, but surely not. 🤣

This is why I also moved to One, got sick of waiting.

Given the lack of updates, 2degrees will probably wait until September when new iPhones and watches are released so that they can promote their 'new' cellular service with new watches. I really hope that this is not the case for everyone, but the silence is deafening.

I see that 2degrees recently appointed a new 'Chief Customer Officer with responsibility for customer operations and experience including the nationwide network of retail stores, channels and customer care'. They have their work cut out for them.
